sourpuss sammy

sammy, like his daddy, has a thing for sour. he sucks mustard right out of the bottle. one day, he went to get the mustard and we were out, so sammy tried lemon juice. we kept telling him that it was going to be really sour, but he insisted and having a cup of lemon juice. the following pics are his reaction to the lemon juice. oh, and he hasn't learned his lesson. he still takes the lemon juice out and drinks it:)

haircuts

audrey and jack went for haircuts on saturday. jack doesn't like haircuts, so we were amazed when he sat very nicely and didn't scream at the hair stylist. kathy, the stylist, was very good with jack. she let him follow her around while she got everything ready and she talked him through every step. it also helped that jack had a toy- dental floss- that he played with while he was getting his haircut. jack liked to pull out all the floss and play with the box. luckily, it's a free sample from the dentist and a brand that we don't use:) audrey did wonderfully, too. her hairstylist was all smiles and kept telling me how pretty audrey was:) my kids are so cute!!!

jack's the man!

two saturdays ago, jack had his first dentist visit. he was amazing!! he sat in the chair, opened his mouth, and let the hygenist count and check his teeth. this past saturday, he went back for his first cleaning and the dentist couldn't stop talking about how wonderful he was being during the cleaning. the only time he moved was when the hygenist would stop to get something and jack woulds it up and ask what everything was:) we're so proud of our big man!
