more of the kids

i finally have time to put up some more pics of the kids. they love the house, especially the downstairs playroom:) right now, it's painted a basic white, which is the perfect canvas for the mario room jacob and i have planned:) each wall will be a different level from mario bros. wii- catering completely to our kids' imaginations. they love mario so much and often pretend to be the characters that we thought it would be fun to have a room that was all imagination and creativity:)

i made peanut butter and jam thumbprint cookeis today. audrey tried one, and the following is her conversation with jacob concerning the cookie-

audrey: "i can't eat the cookie, daddy."

jacob: "why not?"

audrey: "because it's too far."

jacob: "too far? why is it too far?"

audrey: "because it's a circle."

i had to go into the other room so i could lie down from laughing:)

second funny conversation-

i was giving audrey a manicure in our room with the door closed. sammy, apparently, was wandering around the house looking for me, saying "mommy...mommy." the following is a conversation between jacob and sammy-

sammy: "moommmmmyyy, mooommmmmy."

jacob: "sammy, mommy is helping audrey right now. can i help you?"

sammy: "yes"

jacob: "what do you need?"

sammy: "mommy."

mother's day

happy mother's day to all!! this year, jacob interviewed the kids about all things mommy:) it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me appreciate all the effort my wonderful husband puts into making mother's day special:)

jacob didn't prep her at all for this- these answers are all audrey:)

he spent the majority of the morning without a shirt. that's my boy!
