halloween

trick or treat! we were so excited to live in a neighborhood where we could finally hand out candy! the kids were pretty happy too, except when they realized what it meant...walking from house to house. after the fifth house, they wanted to go home! there are 93 houses in our complex!! we hit half and then went home to pass out candy:) and eat it:)
he's paper mario
his mario pumpkin
this is what she wanted to wear...
this is what she actually wore
batman in training
batman's sidekick...monkey
he was more interested in the pumpkins than anyone else

jack's birthday

i'm so behind on my scrapbooking and blogging!! the following are pics of jack's b-day. he wanted a mario party, sorry, PAPER mario party, not that there was a difference:) we made an obstacle course in the playroom that led upstairs to the living room and ended in the backyard. we borrowed a bounce castle from a friend and that was bowser's castle with daddy and jason as bowser:) then we had a pinata and of course, a paper mario birthday cake:) to make things even better, jacob whipped out paper mario for the wii and jack was in mario heaven:)

get ready for some cuteness

oh look! there's me!
we went to build-a-bear over thanksgiving and each kids got a toy. yes, jack's is a bear dressed up as darth vader. it even plays the star wars theme song. he chose it all by himself. jacob could not be prouder:)

darth vader meets ironman. not superman. ironman.

ummm...

sammy with his puppy from build-a-bear. he chose overalls for it. considering how sammy despises pants, we were surprised. the puppy also barks:)

he's soooooooo cute:)

ready for play!
he was stuck in the hole. it's only an inch deep and it took him ten minutes to get out of it.
that's his build-a-bear puppy. it barks, too. richard barks back, "ffff, ffff" translation- woof
he LOVES balloons.
he LOVES the swings.

audrey with her build-a-bear dog, meg. she chose a shirt for it and jacob said it looked like meg.

audrey's b-day

audrey had a fantastic birthday! we always celebrate twice- once on the actual day and then the party. audrey planned her entire party. she wanted a scooby-doo party where "daddy would be the monster and we chase daddy and daddy take off the mask and then daddy chase us, just like in scooby-doo":) so that's what we did! i took the kids to pick out a mask and the three of them chose a darth vader mask. yep. darth vader. so jacob was darth vader for the monster chase, which was essentially a version of hide and seek combined with tag. they had a great time:) we also had a pinata that took FOREVER to break. jacob had to step on it to get it to break:) enjoy the pics!! we had a blast! audrey was asleep within 20 minutes of everyone leaving:)
wearing her birthday crown from school
she actually blew out the candles this year!
she hollowed out the cake looking for strawberries

with her birthday balloons
her birthday unicorn pinata
getting out some aggression:)
those scooby doo figures got here just in time!

highlight of the party- watching jacob and our friend jason get the balloons out of the tree. at one point audrey said, calm down everyone, jason's not going to die! he had climbed the fence to reach for the balloons while jacob pushed them toward him with a broom, standing on a chair. SUCH a guy moment:)
happy birthday girl:)
