by request since nana can't get enough

he was VERY excited about these stickers
jacob did his hair and i asked him to make a funny face
he LOVES to color
very proud of being "nu-ey" (nudey) and putting on daddy's shoes
he loves charlie. that stuffed dog is his blanket at night
happy happy jimmy
his fine motor skills have kicked in
jimmy adores richard, richard adores jimmy. it's wonderful to see:)
he made a clubhouse for his mickey mouse toys
the prince and the pea
yes those are angry bird toys. and yes, they put pants on them

he's being a mario statue
there was a dance-a-thon at jack's school as a fundraiser, so i brought the three younger boys. they loved it! sammy ran right in and started twirling in circles, jack kept running around introducing his friends to sammy, and richard just stood there, staring at the flashing ring i had bough each of the kids.
right before the dance-a-thon started
i took audrey to boston as a birthday treat and she love it. it was the first plane ride she'll actually remember
she wanted to bring ALL her toys, but i told her two. so she brought marie. i'm amazed that cat stayed white.
she had more fun choosing toys at the aquarium gift shop for her brothers than anything
she LOVED these penguins. she just stood there and laughed and laughed and laughed

why do they have to grow up??!!

i know, i know. it's been far too long since i last posted ANYTHING. time has a way of moving too quickly. i'm behind on EVERYTHING- my scrapbooking list is so long i don't think i'll ever finish. lots has happened- two birthdays, thanksgiving, halloween, and of course the usual daily cuteness that pervades our home. jimmy's turning 1 on thursday and i'm having issues. how dare he grow up!! he was supposed to stay a baby forever! he's already trying to copy everything richard says and does and he loves to wrestle with richard. the other kids just love him and are so kind to him. it's amazing how they've never shown jealousy towards jimmy. i am one blessed mommy with such adorable children!

who wouldn't love a whole pile of toys?

excited for the fall festival at the rec center next door

first face paint!
he watched the girl the entire time she was painting his face
he refused to smile because he thought the paint would "fall off"
that's the pumpkin he decorated at the festival
sammy is such a goofy kid! love it!

didn't realize how big our swim bag was until the kids started climbing in
the other kids kept throwing leaves on him. he finally caught one and ate it. not as tasty as he thought it would be

this "hat" is courtesy of richard
he built that tower all by himself
jack's halloween costume.  ignore the superman pants.
he wears this cape all the time

Halloween!
this is his mountain. he loves it.

school kids!

they're off into the big wide world of all day school! audrey's in first grade this year! first grade! and it's french immersion, which she's thrilled about, too:) jacob's been reviewing his french and teaching her basic words all summer long and every time he spoke to her, she would giggle:) she's in the same class has her friend, julia, from church, and they sit right next to each other:) apparently they got to chose their seats:) oh, and she gets to take the bus home from school. so this year is shaping up to be a pretty good year for our big girl:) jack's in all day kindergarten with ms, singh, audrey's teacher last year. she did wonders for audrey's writing, so we're happy that jack will be with a teacher where we know how he will be taught. so far, he's loving school. he came home the first day and told me he got to "play with all the toys" and that he "likes the dinosaur with the long neck the most":) i miss them both so much when they're at school, but i'm also enjoying having sammy, richard, and jimmy all to myself. sammy's been saying the funniest things lately, and i'm going to have to start writing them down:)

oh i love my kids

this summer has been one of the best summers, mostly because it's the first one where I'M NOT PREGNANT:) which means i have more energy to play and i'm not encumbered by a huge tummy or all the joyous aches that come with carrying around a huge tummy:) we spent the summer home, since sammy was potty training, ( he surprised us by being fully potty trained in a week), and enjoying the time at home. this was the last time i would have all the kids at home with me everyday. once the school year started, audrey and jack would both be in all day school and it would be just me, sammy, richard, and jimmy at home. i was savouring the days of having the five of my monkeys around me, listening to them play, sing, talk, playing with them in their made up games, and mostly just enjoying the chaos of five wonderfully active and adorable children. now that school has started, i'm going through child withdrawal. i'll get over it though, since jimmy is NEVER GOING TO GROW UP:)
