four years old!!

audrey's four. FOUR!!! wasn't she just born yesterday? she had a wonderful birthday...cupcakes at school, a special birthday crown, plus a strawberry birthday cake after dinner:) she didn't open any presents, yet, as we're saving them for her birthday party. we're having a halloween party this year- when i asked audrey what she wanted to do for her birthday, she said, "be a unicorn":) right. costume party it is!!

richard's blessing

richard was blessed over labor day weekend and uncle richard, aunt judy, and nana ou came up for it. unfortunately, we were all sick so there wasn't any hotel pool for swimming, but a trip to the mall made up for that. jacob was so happy richard was coming. they have a very cute little bromance going on. they think alike, play the same games, and have the same sense of humor, so whenever richard visits, jacob puts together a pile of video games they're going to play and plans out the weekend. they don't sleep...they end up playing games the entire weekend and richard crashes on the couch. luckily, the kids adore uncle richard, so seeing him the morning is a good thing. they went nuts for aunt judy, too. audrey and jack kept asking for aunt judy to chase them around after she left. when we explained to them that aunt judy left for home on an airplane, jack's response was "i go too?" cuties:)

just like mommy

audrey and richard have a very special bond. with richard, audrey's finally old enough to understand that he's a baby and needs special care and she understands that mommy gives part of that care by nursing. so, she's decided she wants to be just like mommy and nurse her babies. her babies are a stuffed cat and her koopa, but at least she's learning:) she even burps them and uses a burp cloth. if i forget mine, she'll drape it over my shoulder:)

hide and seek

the kids love hide and seek, but they're terrible at it. while i'm counting to ten, they'll run and hide, giggling the whole time. by the time i've reached ten, i don't even get a chance to look for them because they run out and say boo:) audrey's actually getting better, but she gives herself away everytime with her giggling. i love her giggle:) sammy doesn't even try, but he does give hiding spots away. jack is the worst. apparently, he thinks he's an ostrich. he'll just stick his head between the couch cushions for a hiding spot. the pic below is one of his newer hiding places:)

big kid

sammy really wants to be a big kid like audrey and jack. he's not allowed to sit on the benches without us there, so he devised a new way to be at the table when we're not there. he pushes the stool over and stands on it:) he's also using a pencil and crayon now, when we let him have a crayon. he'll wait until we're not in the room and then eat the crayon. sneaky!

i poo

so jack is finally potty training we started a bit late with him because we wanted to make sure everyone was settled and transitioning well with richard's birth. what we didn't count on was sammy's hero worship of his big brother, which means sammy also wants to potty train:) it's pretty darn cute:) he goes over to the little potty and sits down and says "i poo":) i guess we're potty training both boys at the same time! we need more potties!

school girl

i am so behind on my blogging! audrey started school a couple of weeks ago, and she LOVES it:) i barely got a goodbye kiss and hug from her!

so happy to be in school!

the kids are growing up too quickly!! audrey turns FOUR tomorrow!! wasn't she just born yesterday??!! the boys are just adorable, too- jack's really into ocarina of time, and jacob's very happy about that. he runs around the house with a foam replica sword and plastic shield mimicing link:) sammy's just a cutie who adores his big brother. he loves to follow jack around:) richard's getting chubbier by the day. he's holdin ghis head up now and loves the bumbo:) i can't believe he's almost three months old! too fast!!
