boyos #4 and 5

aunt judy

auny judy came to visit at the beginning of january and the kids were so excited:) richard was a bit apprehensive at first, but he warmed up:)

snow day

all audrey wanted for christmas was snow. it didn't snow for christmas, but it did over new year's eve weekend. the kids were estatic:) jacob went out to be a "grown up" and shoveled the walk. the kids wanted to help and the only shovels they had were their little sand ones from the summer. so they used their sand shovels to "help" jacob:)

there wasn't enough snow for a snowman, but snow angels were a good option

this was richard the whole time the others were outside. i couldn't find ANY boots in his size, so he couldn't come outside. poor kid. 

jimmy's blessing

uncle richard came up for jimmy's blessing. the kids LOVE uncle richard because he just sits there and lets them crawl all over him and his laptop:) saturday morning, we got to sleep in a bit, too:) jack woke up super early and went downstairs to see why the living room light was on. uncle richard had fallen asleep on the couch doing his homework, so of course, jack woke him up. then audrey heard the noise and ran up too. then sammy joined in. so uncle richard had the three of them for about an hour all to himself while jacob and i stayed in bed, laughing as we listened to their very funny conversations:) something about ferris wheels and merry-o- rounds:)

the denver developmental test

while uncle richard was here he asked audrey three question from the denver development test. one of the questions was about opposites. this was their conversation-

richard- what's something hot?
audrey- roast beef.
richard- what's something cold?
audrey- some roast beef is cold.

a glimpse of richard

richard is sooooooo cute:) he makes us laugh everyday with his funny sounds and noises. sometimes he sounds like a bird:) lately, he's been trying to say more words- "pop, pop, pop" for popcorn and "pu pu" for puppy, "che" is cheese, and "je" is james. only a parent would know what on earth richard is talking about:)
