jack's my little dancing man:) they all love to dance, but jack really gets into it. sammy's starting to move, too, but nothing like jack- he'll do this little bob/ bounce thing:) audrey's my little ballerina- she twirls and twirls:) here's a couple of videos of jack dancing to "chicka chicka boom boom"

jacob's birthday

jacob's birthday is on saturday and i've been asking the kids what we should do for daddy on his special day. audrey's reply, for the past month, as been, "daddy wants a cake with strawberries and bananas." jack's response when i asked him what we should get daddy for a birthday presents- "ummm...ME!":)

sammy's new bed!

we moved sammy to a big boy bed today! i know it seems a bit early, but sammy's the size of an 18 month old and he was always climbing on and off audrey's and jack's beds and driving them bonkers. we weren't going to have him sleep in it yet, just let him crawl around, but once we put the bed into sammy's room, we couldn't get him off. he even got a book, crawled into bed, and started reading:) jack really liked sammy's bed, too:) audrey was just excited to "help" put it together:)

rainy day fun

we finally had a chance to take the kids out for a rainy day that wasn't a huge thunderstorm or so incredibley windy that they would get blown over:) sammy refused to walk the entire time, but audrey and jack were so happy to splash in puddles and tramp through the wet lawn. the best was when we found a caterpiller:) the three of them were completely enthralled the fuzzy little critter, especially jack:) my biggest worry was that he would accidently step on it and then ask what happened:)

jack wanted to follow it around and then take it home with him. that didn't happen.

she's so tall now! we had no idea she could reach the lock until she started getting impatient with us:) she kept locking and unlocking the door. luckily, she can't go anywhere if she gets out- the elevator button is too high for her:)

oh, my boy

yesterday was bath day and, as usual, jack protested. he always protests and screams when we tell him it's time for a bath, but the minute he steps foot into the bathroom, he's all smiles and can't wait to get in. i put him in, dumped out the bath toys and left the room, as i normally do. then i heard this "mommy, guy got me all wet." i turn around to see audrey dripping in water and then i heard the splashing. i thought jack was just doing his normal bath thing, playing with mario and luigi in the tub. boy was i wrong. jack had flooded the bathroom. there was so much water on the floor, it had started to run out of the bathroom. everything was wet- the toilet, the bathmats, the trashcan, the toiletpaper basket- i didn't know where to start cleaning. while i was gathering paper towels, i heard audrey tell jack, "guy, that not nice. the bathroom all wet and slippery! it too dangerous for me. water stay in the tub, guy!" we tell the kids that the water needs to stay inside the tub so that floor doesnt' get slippery when they come out. audrey had to learn that the hard way when she slipped a couple of times after splashing around. jack just sat int he tub with this grin on his face:) it took me an hour to clean up all the water and blowdry the basket...not fun when i'm hugely pregnant!
