first time baking

sammy decorated his first cookies over family day. he had no idea what to do, so jack "helped" him by eating the sprinkles sammy spilled on the table. sammy didn't mind. he just wanted to play with the cookie dough.
he going after the lost sprinkle
yum yum- pure sugar with food dye!
this is how sammy wears stickers. audrey and jack used to put them all over their legs and feet:)

sprinkles, sprinkles, sprinkles

we made cookies for family day and the kids, of course, got to put sprinkles on the cookies. audrey insisted on putting a mountain of sprinkles on each cookie, so she ran out of sprinkles very very quickly:) she was very proud of her cookies:)
she "testing" some sprinkles
it was sammy's first time making cookies. he has no idea what to do
she was very careful
getting ready to go in her heels and handbag
this is what she looks like post bath
every time we play tent, she automatically starts reciting the max and ruby camping episode, verbatim

curiouser and curiouser

sammy is shaping up to be the oddest of all the kids. the kids all have their quirks and eccentricities that make them unique and hysterical to watch, but sammy is definitely the strangest. he loves qtips- don't know why- and this is what we found him doing with them one morning...
he's very proud of himself
he kept giggling the whole time
the total count came to five
he couldn't get out afterwards
apparently he was making soup
he loves this book so much he takes it to bed

superhero jack

jack loves superheroes! he loves batman, ironman, and link:) lately, he's been running around in jacob's old cape, pretending to be a superhero. one day, he came up to me and said,"mommy, do you need help? i'm super jack!" jacob had taught him that heroes help people, so jack was offering his assistance:) he even stands in a hero pose:)
this is my favorite pose
he'll even say "up up and away"
hamming it up for the camera:)
he's about to take flight

he moves! he sits! he likes to eat cheese!

richard can sit, crawl on all fours, and loves string cheese! he's been doing the gi joe crawl for a few weeks now,  and it finally developed into a crawl:) then, yesterday, he sat up all by himself!! he was so proud of himself! when i went to get him from his nap, richard was already up and sitting in his crib, playing with toys. i don't think he had slept at all- he just stayed up and sat and played:)
first time sitting without support

the book keeps his balance forward instead of backward
love the smile!
his favorite toy is the purple phone
exploring the bathroom- he really likes the ducky shower curtain
trying to figure out what the camera is
first bite of big kid food!!

house

so, things have progressed pretty quickly with this house. we've already met two of the three conditions for the purchase and we're just waiting on the stratus report. because we're buying a townhouse, the bank does a check on the management company to make sure everything's legit. we're not too worried. the currant owners are on the board and the wife has been wonderful in answering all our questions regarding the condition of the house. the part that frustrates us is that our agent, mortgage broker, and sellers are all more supportive of our kids' ages than the majority of our ward and we just met them! still, we're pretty darn excited about this. my favorite part? the addition of hardwood floors!!! is that strange that i'm more excited about a reno than the owning of the house?:)

growing up

we bought a house on saturday! yikes! looks like we're growing up:) i found a listing that looked interesting so i booked a showing. jacob apparently liked it from the minute i emailed him the listing...not the decor, of course, but the bones of the house. what caught my attention was the winnie-the-pooh room. one of the kids' rooms is painted up as the hundred acre wood, complete with all the characters:) it's also finished from top to bottom, and finished properly-ie by a contractor, something jacob is very very adamant about:) so, we put in an offer and it was accepted!! yipee! we close may 30 and move in june 4! when we told the kids about the house, audrey's reply was, "yeah. i like stairs." good to know that we bought a house so she and jack can climb the stairs:)

here's the listing if anyway wants a looksie...look way way waaaaaaaayyyyyy past the decor. that's all going to be changed and updated :) heehee:) i didn't get certified as a designer for nothing!
