richard

we are constantly amazed at how observant and considerate richard is. whenever he sees koopa, monkey, or rawr lying around, he'll pick it up and hand it to the rightful owner. the other evening, while we were cleaning up dinner, richard came over and ewok- talked to me to follow him. he led me over to the doorway that leads to the playroom. sure enough, we had forgotten to put up the babygate. instead of attempting to go down the stairs, which richard can't do yet, he pointed at it and ewok talked again. he wanted me to put the gate up! he's amazing like that:) he'll put toys away, clean up laundry, and help unload the dishwasher. AND he knows where EVERYTHING goes!! hard to believe he's only 15 months!

family update

wow- lots has happened since i last posted! audrey is in school evey day now, for half a day, jack's in school two days a week and they both LOVE school:) jack's in the same program audrey was in last year, so he recognized the teacher and the classroom...it was no problem at all:) plus, they're both fully potty trained now! no more little potty seat and they can both wipe their own bums:) we had to wait until audrey's recent growth spurt because her arms weren't long enough to reach around. they all grew like crazy this summer and jack was finally able to balance on the potty without a little seat. yea!! makes my life A LOT easier not having to run to the bathroom every five minutes. richard and sammy are as cute as ever and sammy fully believes that he's going to school this year. he still needs a morning nap, so i'm signing him up for a mommy and me class in january:)
